As well as the development and management and/or operation of a “relevant, innovative, and robust” concessions programme, the RFP includes the construction of a consolidated security checkpoint and related expansion and improvement of the terminal building. An airport common use lounge will also be developed while the Mitchell Gallery of Flight museum will move to a pre-security location.

The term of the contract will not exceed 20 years and will include the construction time for the consolidated security checkpoint and concessions redevelopment.

Respondents should have at least five years of continuous experience within the last ten years in the successful development, construction, management, and/or operation of one or more comprehensive food & beverage and/or retail programme, the RFP states. These must serve at least two million customers annually in a “high traffic environment” with sales greater than US$25 million per year and consisting of a variety of food service and retail outlets.

A pre-proposal conference will be held on 31 January at the airport. Proposals must be submitted by 3.00 p.m. CDT on 5 May.
