Middle East Exclusive aims for record-breaking fifth exhibition in Dubai this December – 03/05/07

Organisers of MEE 2007 hope that this year’s attendance will eclipse the already impressive visitor figures of 2006

UAE. Middle East Exclusive 2007 will be held on 4-6 December at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the biggest exhibition centre in the region.

Organisers of the show, now in its fifth year, are hoping that 2007 visitor numbers will beat all previous records. Last year more than 100 exhibitors representing 600 brands presented their products and services to over 2,000 visitors.

MEE, which is supported by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Department of Civil Aviation, Dubai and Chairman of Emirates together with Dubai Duty Free, is the only event of its kind in the region that brings together international and regional representatives of the duty free, travel retail and luxury goods markets.

Justin Boutros, Managing Director of Channels Exhibitions, which organises the show said: “Middle East Exclusive 2007 will continue to attract key buyers and decision makers, not just from the lucrative duty free and travel retailing markets, but also key personnel from department stores, boutiques, cruise lines, leading hotels and shopping malls. No other event can offer this very special audience from some of the most exciting markets in the world today.”

MEE is scheduled to run alongside two other major duty free events: the Dubai Duty Free Golf World Cup, 2/3 December, and the Middle East Duty Free Association (MEDFA) Conference, 30 November to 1 December.

Exciting industry developments in the region include numerous airport expansion plans. These include Dubai Duty Free doubling its retail space with the opening of Concourse 2 and Terminal Three at Dubai International Airport.
