Michael Marcano joins The Estée Lauder Companies Travel Retail Worldwide leadership team

The Estée Lauder Companies has named Michael Marcano (right) as Vice President/General Manager, Aramis, Designer Fragrances, Origins, Glamglow and BECCA, Travel Retail Worldwide effective 1 July.

He joins the Travel Retail Leadership Team and succeeds Umair Ansari who was recently named as Vice President and General Manager, Middle East, Africa and India, TR EMEA. Marcano, who has been with Estée Lauder since 2012, will be responsible for driving continued growth and profitability across the travel retail business for Aramis, Designer Fragrances, Origins, Glamglow and BECCA.

Marcano originally joined Estée Lauder in 2012 as Director Global Marketing, Ermenegildo Zegna Parfums, and was promoted to Executive Director, Global Marketing Men’s Brands ADF in 2014. He integrated Ermenegildo Zegna into the new men’s pillar of Estée Lauder’s fragrance portfolio, and spearheaded different strategic initiatives and marketing activations which have helped increase net sales for Ermenegildo Zegna, Aramis, and Kiton.

Marcano was most recently Executive Director Marketing La Mer, Aveda, and Le Labo at Estée Lauder Companies. In this former role, he oversaw and executed strategic priorities and marketing activations across his brands.

An Estée Lauder Companies statement added: “Michael has been a champion for integrated, consumer-first 360-degree marketing, driving the La Mer brand’s signature ‘Arrive Hydrated’ Travel Retail campaign and developing an in-depth understanding of the travelling Chinese consumer.”
