MEEL opens first store with Marshall Retail Group at Nashville Airport

USA. Airport specialty retailer Marshall Retail Group (MRG) has teamed up with MEEL, the meal kit service, to open the brand’s first brick and mortar store in Nashville International Airport Concourse C.

Nashville meal kit business MEEL has launched its first store at Nashville International Airport

Nashville-based MEEL – an ACDBE certified business founded by Marti Emch – is well-known in the city for its sustainable, locally sourced meal kits. The new store offers fresh, grab and go eats featuring seasonal, organic, biodynamic and non-GMO ingredients that are nutrient dense and grown in Tennessee.

To-go healthy breakfasts and lunches are available and the store also features a ‘Wellness Bar’. It serves drinks including turmeric latte, bone broth and Sri Lankan milk tea, all dispensed in biodegradable cups.

MEEL’s products are sustainably produced by local farms and other food producers in Tennessee

Products include a trifle jar featuring locally-grown, organic strawberries from Delvin Farms.

Marshall Retail Group CEO Tony Keir said: “We’re so excited to be partnering with Marti to bring MEEL to Nashville International Airport. As travellers continue to prioritise their health and wellness, MEEL’s sustainably sourced, organic offerings allow them to enjoy healthy, satiating items without compromising taste or convenience.”

Marti Emch said: “I’ve been travelling through BNA since childhood, so I am thrilled to bring such an amazing selection of local, regional and sustainable foods to my home airport.

“One component that’s often missing with airport dining is feeling well nourished, and at MEEL, our goal is to nourish you.”

WHSMith-owned MRG now operates more than 300 standalone stores across 46 US airports.
