Media agency Identity wins recognition for inflight retail publication design

The Virgin Atlantic Retail Therapy publications have been recognised at industry awards

UK. Creative and media agency Identity has won multiple awards for its Virgin Atlantic Retail Therapy publications, created in partnership with DFASS UK and the airline.

The January and April 2016 issues of Retail Therapy won platinum honours at the 2017 International Hermes Creative Awards in the In-flight Retail category. The January 2016 edition also won bronze at the 2017 International Astrid Awards.

The International Hermes Awards is an international competition that recognises creative professionals involved in the concept, writing, photography and design of traditional materials, programmes and emerging technologies. It is judged industry professionals who look for companies and individuals “whose talent exceeds high standards of excellence, and whose work serves as a benchmark for the creative industry”.

From over 6,000 worldwide entries in the 2017 competition, Retail Therapy was in the top 17% having been recognised with the platinum award – the top honour.

The International Astrid Awards, created by MerComm,  is dedicated to defining the standards of excellence in the creative communications field. The competition aims to recognise both individuals and companies whose original work makes an outstanding contribution to their clients. Among the elements considered are originality of design concept, effective use of typography, originality of photography or illustrations and success of achieving the marketing purpose of the publication.
