MEADFA attendance up slightly despite late rescheduling

UAE. This year’s MEADFA Conference in Dubai welcomed 489 delegates, a slight increase on the previous event in November 2016 (when 484 delegates attended).

Organisers noted that the event had to be rescheduled at late notice due to political uncertainty in Lebanon, where it was originally intended to be held.

MEADFA President Haitham Al Majali provided the welcoming address at the conference

“I would like to thank all those people and organisations that have helped this event to be such a success,” said MEADFA President Haitham Al Majali. “We are immensely grateful to our sponsors; we could not have put on the conference without them. I am pleased to say we have renewed our association with TFWA to organise the conference for another two years.

“We look forward to welcoming old friends and new colleagues to our next event, of which details will be announced very shortly.”

The conference content was complemented by a wide-ranging networking programme. It featured the Opening Cocktail, sponsored by Dufry and held at the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, and a Gala Dinner, hosted by Dubai Duty Free and held at the Secret Garden at the same hotel.
