Master ConcessionAir opens experiential Samsonite store at Orlando International

USA. Master ConcessionAir (MCA) has opened an interactive air travel-themed Samsonite store at Orlando International Airport.

The aim, said MCA, is to recreate the airport and aeroplane experience, allowing customers to trial products in a realistic and immersive environment.

The new Samsonite store at Orlando International Airport allows customers to trial products in a simulated aeroplane environment.

Varied flooring mimics the surface of airport parking lot, lobby and terminal in order to test suitcase wheels. Repurposed aeroplane seats and overhead lockers are available to test size.

A carry-on luggage sizer and a luggage scale are also available.

Customers can test wheeled luggage on flooring that mimics various airport surfaces, from asphalt to tiles to carpet.

The store also features simulated plane windows and magnetic signs resembling aeroplane fins in order to bring the experience to life.

Repurposed plane seats and overhead lockers allow visitors to test luggage and travel accessories for comfort and size.

MCA CEO Peter Amaro commented: “Travellers today want experiences. Being able to give them that while delivering peace of mind about their luggage is a win-win and doing that while working with Samsonite, the leader in durable, innovative travel pieces, felt like the perfect fit.”

Concept retail specialist Master ConcessionAir said that the interactive space meets an increased consumer demand for experiential retail.
