Mars recommits to The Trinity Forum as Platinum Partner

INTERNATIONAL. Mars Wrigley Confectionery International Travel Retail has renewed its commitment as Platinum Partner of The Trinity Forum 2019, for the third consecutive year. The world’s most influential airport commercial revenues conference will take place in Doha on 30-31 October.

The Trinity Forum 2019 will be hosted by Qatar Duty Free in partnership with Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport. The Forum will attract delegates from around the world, who will gather in Doha for a two-day event which promises to be one of the most spectacular yet.

Gary Clarke: “Through honest debate, discussion and information sharing via The Trinity Forum platform, we must continue to address and actively agree how we can overcome the challenges we face.”

Mars Wrigley Confectionery International Travel Retail General Manager Gary Clarke gave one of the most thought-provoking presentations during the 2018 event in Shanghai in November when he shared Mars’ big picture perspective for the future. During his speech, he stressed the importance of corporate social responsibility principles in business and outlined how his company was in the midst of a strategic shift to incorporate a much wider focus on it.

Commenting on the newly-renewed partnership, Clarke said: “This is the third year that Mars has partnered with The Moodie Davitt Report, ACI World and ACI Asia-Pacific as a Platinum Partner of The Trinity Forum, an event that we believe is critical in the industry calendar.

“Getting it right in retail generally – and travel retail specifically – has never been more crucial or challenging and Mars ITR is totally committed to putting the travelling consumer at the heart of everything we do.

“In order to do that effectively, the principles of ‘The Trinity’ are absolute. We can only ‘win’ by working together – airport, retailer and supplier – with the consumer as our central focus. Through honest debate, discussion and information sharing via The Trinity Forum platform, we must continue to address and actively agree how we can overcome the challenges we face. We must never forget that without the support of our consumers we are nothing.

“Mars ITR is committed to meeting the needs of travellers, addressing why they buy with products they want to purchase and working with retailers to create environments that inspire them to shop. We’re very much looking forward to sharing our beliefs with other delegates in Doha this year.”

A number of other companies have already confirmed support for the event. Dufry has also renewed its Platinum Partnership for The Trinity Forum 2019. Additional partners include Rituals as a Silver Partner, Leonidas and Nestle International Travel Retail as the coffee breaks partners, and Lacoste, who is partnering once again to provide the delegate folder. Details of other Platinum Partners already confirmed will be announced in the near future.
