Marcolin Group eyes a stronger presence in the Asian market

Marcolin Group is responding to “renewed growth” in the eyewear category in Asia with a plan to strengthen its investments and presence in the region.

Renewed growth in the eyewear category in Asia has prompted Marcolin Group to increase its activities in the region.

The company has increased its focus on ‘Asian-friendly’ styles and is strengthening its Hong Kong-based Asia Pacific subsidiary. Training professionals have joined the marketing division, and staff numbers in Marcolin’s sales and customer service departments have increased.

Marcolin said it is focusing on offering its main brands styles and fittings that meet the tastes of Asian consumers, with specific products for Korea, Japan and South East Asia.

Collections will be developed in-house and will benefit from the experience of local partners in key markets, the company added.

Early this year, Marcolin collaborated with leading logistics service providers and freight forwarders to improve its services on the local market and in all Asia Pacific countries. And last month Marcolin doubled its regional office space in Hong Kong to include a showroom and sales offices.
