Malaysia Airports launches Chinese consumer marketing drive

MALAYSIA. Malaysia Airports has launched a major campaign to encourage Chinese visitors to purchase in retail and food & beverage outlets at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and budget terminal klia2. The airport company and partners are offering special deals and promotions that can be redeemed using vouchers from a Welcome Pack available to Chinese travellers.

The company said: “The Welcome Pack comprises vouchers for great deals and promotions, focusing on three main categories: food & beverage, health & beauty and retail, giving them irresistible reasons to shop and dine at the airport.”

To redeem the pack, visitors can show their passports at information counters at KLIA and klia2, fill in the relevant forms and use the vouchers at participating outlets in arrivals and departures.

Malaysia Airports noted: “To make it even easier and convenient, [shoppers] can use Alipay for no hassle payments.”

The campaign runs from 1 January to 31 March.
