MAG USA extends lounge welcome to British Airways customers at Oakland International

USA. Manchester Airports Group (MAG) USA is extending complimentary access at its Escape Lounge at Oakland International to celebrate a new direct British Airways service between London Gatwick and the airport.

The airline’s Club World and Gold and Silver Executive Club members travelling on the new route will be able to enjoy a “relaxing atmosphere with stylish and contemporary furnishings” as well as a complimentary food menu, MAG USA said. The menu features locally-inspired dishes created in partnership with Oakland-based chef, Chris Pastena.

A range of unlimited complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including local coffee brand RoastCo; flight information screens; free Wi-Fi; and a selection of newspapers and magazines are available in the lounge.

The Escape Lounge at Oakland International opened in late 2016 following common-use Escape lounge launches at Minneapolis-St.Paul and Bradley airports, MAG USA said. It is located post-security after Gate 8, and is open daily from 5am to 9pm. The video below offers a taste of the lounge.

“Today’s airline customers are seeking quality and affordable upgrades to their daily lives, and Escape Lounge ensures British Airways’ Club World and Gold and Silver Executive Club members travelling through Oakland International Airport now have access to an airport lounge where they can relax and recharge while enjoying award-winning, local chef-inspired cuisine to enhance their travel experience,” said MAG USA President and CEO Rosemarie Andolino.

“We are delighted to partner with British Airways. High quality common-use airport lounges are important in supporting route development for international airlines.”
