MAC Cosmetics enhances eye and lip portfolio with new launches

Brand: MAC Cosmetics.

Launches: Upward Lash mascara, Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow, Patentpolish Lip Pencil, Cremesheen Pearl

Details: Next month MAC will extend its mascara portfolio with the new Upward Lash. The product is said to turn eyelashes into “shape-shifters”, boosting volume, length and curl. It will be available in global travel retail in shade Upwardblack.

Also launching in August is MAC Veluxe À Trois, a collection of the brand’s Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadows reintroduced in a trio format. The powder-to-cream formula has been remixed in four palettes, each of which contains a new trinity of colours. The sets are Collective Chic, Claretluxe, Lapisluxe and Cool Companions.

In other news, this month MAC has added its Patentpolish Lip Pencil to its permanent line. First introduced last year, the product is said to combine the colour and shine of a gloss with the precision of a lip pencil, in one portable colour stick. A twist-up mechanism removes the need for sharpening. The colour range available includes bright corals, soft rosy pinks and natural nudes.

Lastly, in August MAC will reintroduce Cremesheen Pearl as part of its permanent line. Cremesheen Lipstick and Cremesheen Glass, both infused with pearlised pigments, will be available in 15 new Asian-inspired shades.
