M1nd-set delivers insights for DFWC Academy students

INTERNATIONAL. M1nd-set has delivered insights for the Duty Free World Council (DFWC) Academy and its resource centre.

As reported, the DFWC Academy is developing a set of professional global qualifications for staff working in the duty free & travel retail industry, with m1nd-set as one of the Academy’s research partners.

The Swiss research agency is delivering research across modules on the course with a focus on the shopping behaviour of travel retail shoppers compared to domestic shoppers.

“It’s vital to provide the DFWC Academy students with a solid understanding of the current trends,” m1nd-set Travel Retail Research Director Clara Susset says

In addition, m1nd-set has given students access to its online resource library. To give insights on different demographics, the company is offering specific research on the Middle East & Africa region, Chinese travellers, millennials, older consumers and first-time buyers.

M1nd-set Travel Retail Research Director Clara Susset said: “We believe it’s vital to provide the DFWC Academy students with a solid understanding of the current trends, how shopper behaviour can change across these variables and how vital a role staff play in delivering the best experience for shoppers. We are delighted to contribute to this training programme and to help students understand the unique context of the international travel retail sector.”

Commenting on the partnership, m1nd-set Owner & CEO Peter Mohn added: “Educating the industry is fundamental to our business and inherent to our values at m1nd-set. We see how shopper behaviour changes considerably across multiple variables, not just regions and demographics but also over time. This is especially true in today’s society with population increases affecting the dynamics of international travel and the traveller profile.”
