LS travel retail opens Hudson’s Bay concept at Vancouver Airport

CANADA. LS travel retail North America has opened the latest Hudson’s Bay Company store, at Vancouver International Airport. It is the second such store to open at an airport, after LS travel retail opened one at Toronto Pearson Terminal 1 last year.

The 1,040sq ft location at Vancouver is branded Hudson’s Bay Company Trading Post. The oldest commercial corporation in North America, and one of the oldest in the world, The Hudson’s Bay Company – also known as HBC – is the parent company of the department store The Bay, one of Canada’s leading fashion retailers. It has headquarters in Toronto and flagship downtown stores in Canada’s largest cities.

Located after security in the International Terminal, the store carries fashion and home accessories from HBC’s Heritage Collection. Offerings range from artisanal candles to classic sweaters for men, women and children. The line is anchored by the popular HBC Point Blanket with its well-known signature stripes.

“We are pleased to be opening our first HBC store in Vancouver and to keep supporting YVR’s efforts in providing an enhanced experience, a unique sense of place and great value to its customers”, said LS travel retail North America Chief Development Officer Vadim Motlik.

“The Hudson’s Bay Company Trading Post is a welcome addition to YVR’s award-winning collection of 160 shops, services and restaurants. I know our international travellers will appreciate the opportunity to pick up a piece of classic Canadiana when traveling through YVR”, added Susan Stiene, Director, Commercial Services at Vancouver Airport Authority.
