Lotte Duty Free said it expected demand for high-quality jewellery to grow. Sales in watches & jewellery rose by around +35% last year, it noted (though they remain well below pre-pandemic levels).

Lee Seung-guk, Head of Lotte Duty Free’s Product Division, said that Lotte Duty Free’s reputation for jewellery retailing had grown through partnerships with brands such as Boucheron, Chaumet and Fred. He said the company would strive to introduce further variety to the offer for its customers.

The company added that it was preparing for the post-pandemic period by strengthening its ranges across categories. It cited the example of cosmetics and the recent addition of brands such as Charlotte Tilbury, Tatcha and Valmont.
