Lotte Duty Free offers chances to win BTS concert tickets in support of Busan World Expo bid

SOUTH KOREA. Travellers who spend over US$10 at Lotte Duty Free between 24 September and 3 October will be entered into a draw to win tickets to supergroup BTS’s ‘Yet To Come’ concert in Busan to be held on 15 October.

Lotte Duty Free is an official sponsor of the concert which is being held to support Busan’s bid for the 2030 World Expo.

The purchases can be made at the retailer’s downtown and online stores. Four hundred lucky shoppers will receive one ticket with winners chosen at random.

Lotte Duty Free has worked with the hugely popular boy band on Hallyu (Korean wave) content such as family concerts and music videos since 2017. When the concert is held on 15 October, Lotte Duty Free will have a booth for its fans, offering purple scarves and purple t-shirts (BTS’ signature colour is purple).

The company. which operates a downtown and airport store in Busan is prominently involved in promoting the southern city as the ideal Expo host. A Lotte Duty Free official said: “We plan to continue to inform tourists who visit our stores about Korea and promote Busan’s bid for the 2030 World Expo.”
