Lotte Duty Free launches Chinese New Year pre-paid card promotion

SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free and TMON (Ticket Monster) have launched a new promotion for international shoppers in time for Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations in February.

Lotte Duty Free CEO Jang Seon-wook today announced the deal which will see the retailer offer pre-paid gift cards from 1 to 18 February via the South Korean e-commerce travel and shopping provider.

Lotte Duty Free Marketing Director Kim Bo-joon said: “With the Lotte Duty Free pre-paid card gift set, shoppers can enjoy additional benefits to their purchases, adding to the fun of shopping.”

Shoppers using the pre-paid card to make purchases at Lotte Duty Free stores will receive extra benefits such as discounts and gifts

The cards will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis, with a limit of one per person.

Visitors spending over US$100 on the pre-paid card will receive a KRW10,000 (US$10) discount on purchases. Those spending over US$400 will receive a KRW50,000 discount (US$47). Other benefits include photo prints worth KRW10,000 (US$10).

After purchasing the pre-paid kits online at TMON, shoppers can also collect a VIP card at Lotte Duty Free stores before 25 February.

Between 1-14 February, Lotte’s Myeongdong flagship, World Tower and Coex stores are offering extra promotions as part of the campaign. These include additional minimum spend discounts and an inflight amenity kit from Thai natural skincare and aromatherapy brand THAAN.
