Lotte Duty Free and Estée Lauder host Re-Nutriv VIP event

Lotte Duty Free treated VIPs to a two-day beauty event in partnership with Estée Lauder

SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free has partnered with Estée Lauder to host a VIP event that showcased the brand’s prestige Re-Nutriv line. The event was held in the Star Lounge on the 14th floor of the Lotte Duty Free Myeongdong Main Store. It took place on 29 and 30 November with a total of four sessions.

The events told the brand story of Re-Nutriv and highlighted the Re-Nutriv Diamond, Brilliance Serum, Eye Serum and Cream expressions through sensorial beauty masterclasses. They offered facial massages and invited the VIPs to sample and experience the products themselves.

Lotte Duty Free and Estée Lauder gave the VIPs an exclusive Re-Nutriv gift set as well as additional gifts and Pre-LDF Pay vouchers up to KRW80,000 (US$61) for a minimum purchase.

According to the retailer, domestic sales in November tripled compared to March this year, noting that domestic recovery has accelerated since the lifting of quarantine requirements on 21 March. Imported beauty, such as Estée Lauder, accounted for over 30% of Lotte Duty Free sales and was found to be the most preferred category by domestic customers.

The retailer said that it plans to strengthen customer-facing events such as this by partnering with more high-profile foreign and domestic brands in the future.

A representative from Lotte Duty Free commented, “We plan to continue strengthening face-to-face services by holding events for top-tier customers in collaboration with Estee Lauder.”

As reported, the Lotte Duty Free Myeongdong Main Store Star Lounge was created in 2018 to cater to top VIP customers. At 1,339sq m, it is the largest lounge of its kind in the South Korean duty free industry. The Star Lounge has hosted countless high-profile events over the years for beauty companies such as L’Oréal Group, Chanel, La Mer, SK-II, Lancôme, Sulwhasoo and Whoo. It is also used as a marketing space for small and medium brands.
