How L’Oréal Travel Retail’s Emmanuel Goulin declared and shared happiness at Christmas |
HONG KONG/HAITI. L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific Managing Director Emmanuel Goulin has honoured his pledge to donate US$50,000 to charity Hand in Hand for Haiti.
The funds were raised through the sale of his Porsche Panamera 4 sports car, which he won through Dubai Duty Free’s Finest Surprise promotion. Emmanuel won a ticket in the draw at last November’s Trinity Forum in Bangkok.
The US$50,000 will go towards sponsoring a class of 20 children at the Hand in Hand for Haiti-funded Lycée Jean-Baptiste Pointe du Sable, which opened in 2011.
The remaining funds will be donated to PUR Projet, a charity closely connected to L’Oréal Travel Retail, which helps companies compensate their carbon emission via insetting and agroforestry, and Food Angel, a Hong Kong charity which helps underprivileged communities.
