L’Oréal Travel Retail and Tripadvisor team up to provide ‘Beauty for all travellers’

Beauty leader L’Oréal and Tripadvisor, the world’s largest travel guidance platform, have teamed up in a “breakthrough” long-term travel retail-exclusive agreement for the beauty category. The partnership is named ‘Beauty for all travellers’.

The two industry leaders said they are “ambitious in creating the future of travel experiences to engage travellers at every step of their journey”.

L’Oréal Travel Retail noted consumer behaviour has shifted post-COVID with clear expectations for experiential products and services. The company said the collaboration is built around digital media activations, a strong data partnership and co-innovation “in order to enrich the traveller experience”.

As reported, the two companies first joined forces last year (with Dufry) to launch the ‘Beauty to Go’ project to engage US and UK travellers in duty free beauty. L’Oréal Travel Retail said the success of that “game changer” project paved the way for the new partnership.

The agreement between the parties was signed in New York by Tripadvisor Vice President and General Manager, Media Christine Maguire and L’Oréal Travel Retail Worldwide President Vincent Boinay

L’Oréal Travel Retail Worldwide President Vincent Boinay said: “We are very pleased by the partnership with Tripadvisor. We share the same vision not only to serve the travellers better and create value, but also to explore new ways to engage with them and to increase conversion in duty free stores.”

Tripadvisor Vice President and General Manager, Media Christine Maguire said: “We are delighted to continue our collaboration with L’Oréal. Beauty retail is such a core component of travelling, in both the planning and experiencing stages, so this partnership is a natural fit and provides us with the opportunity to truly innovate this space.” ✈
