L’Oréal Group was recognised by Bloomberg’s Gender Equality Index (GEI) for the fourth consecutive year. The GEI highlighted 380 companies across 44 countries that have successfully created an inclusive and equal work environment.
The GEI criteria is based on the company’s policies towards inclusivity in leadership positions and talent pipeline, gender pay parity, inclusive workplace culture and sexual harassment policies.
L’Oréal Group scored highly across all of GEI’s criteria. In 2019, women represented 54% of leadership positions within the company, 54% of the Board of Directors and 30% of the Executive Committee.
L’Oréal Group was also recognised as one of the Top 15 most inclusive companies from the STOXX Euro 600 by the European Women on Boards Gender Diversity Index 2021. It was also ranked as the top company in the gender equality category by the Humpact Emploi France.
In 2020, L’Oréal Group was ranked by gender equality insights and data provider Equileapp as the fifth most gender qual company, among the 3,500 globally listed companies on Equilapp’s index.
L’Oréal Group works with independent organisations Economic Dividends for Gender Equality (EDGE) and Gender Equality European and International Standard (GEEIS) to conduct in-depth audits on staffing and hiring policies to ensure that gender equality and inclusiveness are promoted company-wide.
