GUAM. French leathergoods brand Longchamp has opened a 298sq ft (26.8sq m) boutique with Lotte Duty Free at A.B. Won Pat International Airport.
The shop, unveiled on 30 July, features the brand’s Fall and Winter 2017 collection of women’s handbags and small leathergoods. The range includes Longchamp’s signature Le Pliage bag in leather, nylon and canvas.
“We are pleased to be able to offer Longchamp products to travellers coming through Guam International Airport,” said Lotte Duty Free Guam Chief Executive Officer Jaeha Kim. “The brand appeals to the Japanese and Korean female customers who appreciate Longchamp’s fine leather craftsmanship,”
Lotte Duty Free Guam began its duty free retail operations at A.B. Won Pat Guam International Airport in July 2013. Guam is the company’s first entry into the U.S. market. The Korean retailer operates some 24,000sq ft of retail space at the airport.
Footnote: As reported, tourism officials and travel retailers in Guam are closely monitoring Japanese and other international visitor arrivals in the wake of North Korea’s threat to launch a series of missile strikes near the US territory.
