Long Haul Spa enters PPE market with ‘Saving Face’ Travel Kit

Long Haul Spa — a Silver Partner at the upcoming Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo — has entered the personal protection market with the ‘Saving Face’ travel kit.

The kit offers a selection of personal protective equipment designed for travellers in the era of COVID-19. It is now available in worldwide travel retail.

The Saving Face Travel Kit is comprised of the Long Haul Spa Face Mask, Long Haul Spa Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel and Long Haul Spa Moisturising Crème Balm. It is packaged in a black vegan leather case from Australian fashion brand Louenhide.

The unisex face mask is made with a lightweight blend of soft silk and cotton and is a sweat-friendly protective solution that promotes airflow while preventing the transmission of particles. The face mask, which is made with one layer of silk and two layers of cotton, complies with the recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The Long Haul Spa Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel is made with 70% ethanol alcohol blended with lemon, myrtle essential oil and aloe vera. The Long Haul Spa Moisturising Crème balm is made with a nourishing blend of botanicals from New Zealand and Africa including Mafura butter, Kalahari Melon seed oil, Rooibos and Kiwi seed extract.

“With the focus on wellbeing and wellness, our personal space has never been more precious. We are all hyper-sensitive to what’s going on outside the mask, but we also need to think about what lies beneath,” said Long Haul Spa Founder Christine Keeling. “An unfortunate side effect of mask wearing is acne breakout. This is caused by the skin over-heating and pores getting congested at key friction points such as the bridge of the nose and cheeks.

One of the side effects of prolonged mask-wearing is irritated skin. Something that Long Haul Spa aims to remedy with the breathable silk lining of its face mask.

“The choice of fabric was an essential start point for the Long Haul Spa face mask design.  Silk has electro-static properties — binding aerosols to the threads rather than allowing them to pass through the mask — while the cotton voile glides smoothly across the skin. It’s naturally hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive skin types. It is also light and easy to wear, giving the wearer confidence at all levels. We are also actively developing new skincare solutions to counter the effects of mask-wearing.”

Long Haul Spa will be presenting the Saving Face Travel Kit in addition to other product innovations at the inaugural Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo where it will be exhibiting in #Virtual Stand (BT-S4).
