Loewe and Paco Rabanne fragrances win key beauty awards

SPAIN. The Academia del Perfume in Spain has announced the winners of the 2010 Academia del Perfume awards at its gala dinner last week.

Best Masculine Selective Fragrance went to 7 Loewe, which competed against other finalists in the category such as Bleu de Chanel and Boss Bottled Night.

In a statement, Loewe expressed that the accolade is “a great representative award” since the Academia del Perfume is the main institution in the perfume world in Spain, and is backed by the support of all the big companies in the fragrance industry.

The award was received by Loewe Spain General Manager Perfumes Francisco Prieto and Cayetano Rivera, the face of 7 Loewe and ambassador of the brand.

Rivera said: “I would like to thank Loewe for its confidence in me for this launch and the Academy for this distinction.”

Best Feminine Selective Fragrance went to Paco Rabanne Lady Million, which competed against Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gioia and Thierry Mugler Womanity.
