L’OCCITANE Travel Retail has released a sustainable line of solid soaps and shampoos in travel retail.
The vegan range offers a more sustainable alternative to traditional liquid bath products and come in plastic-free packaging.
The formulations are made with a minimum of 95% biodegradable ingredients, in line with the strict criteria of the L’OCCITANE Clean Charter.
The fragranced trio of 250gm body bars are available in Shea, Lavender and Verbena scents. The bars are palm oil-free and have been infused with Omega 3-rich Shea butter.
The bars are formulated with pure vegetable oils made with 99% readily-biodegradable ingredients.
In addition, they have been naturally crafted using the traditional cauldron method, popularised by soap artisans in Provençal.
L’OCCITANE has also released two 60gm shampoos, the Aromachology Repairing Solid Shampoo and Gentle & Balance Solid Shampoo. The shampoos are formulated with five essential oils: Angelica, Ylang-Ylang, Sweet Orange, Lavender and Geranium.
The Aromachology Repairing Solid Shampoo has been infused with pro-vitamin B5, sunflower oil and oat amino acids that repair dry and brittle hair. It is silicone-free and contains 99% biodegradable ingredients. It is packaged in a 100% recyclable box wrapped in plastic-free paper.
The Gentle & Balance Solid Shampoo is suitable for all hair types and enriched with five essentials oils. The silicone and sulphate-free formula contains 98% biodegradable ingredients. It is packaged in a carton made with 100% recyclable, plastic-free paper.
The solid range is crafted with a minimum of 98% biodegradable ingredients, offering a minimal-waste alternative for conscious consumers. L’OCCITANE noted in a statement that the line offers particular appeal to travel retail consumers as the items save on luggage space, minimise the carriage of liquids during transit and guarantee no leakage.
Through this launch and with others planned in the pipeline, L’OCCITANE Travel Retail hopes to encourage conscious consumerism in its efforts to create a nature-positive world.
