Lima Airport Partners introduces shopping assistant service

PERU. Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, Peru, is the first in Latin America to introduce a shopping assistants service to promote duty free and other stores.

Lima Airport Partners is introducing the service to guide international passengers through the passport and security zones as well as giving them advice on the different commercial offers and national and international brands available.

Advice will be given on the different commercial offers and brands available, as well as practical guidance about getting through the airport quickly and efficiently.

The assistants, who will be fluent in languages such as Spanish, English and Portuguese, will be present in the international departures and arrivals areas from 6:30 am to 11:30 am and from 7:00 pm to 12:00 am. They will wear light blue blazers bearing the Lima Airport Shopping logo.

This follows the introduction of similar initiatives at international airports in cities such as Frankfurt, Munich and London.

Lima Airport Partners Central Commercial Manager Norbert Onkelbach said: “We are the first airport in the region that is implementing the shopping assistants system, which aims to optimise and promote the comfort of passengers through timely guidance and providing relevant information for your travel experience.

“This also includes advising on our wide commercial offer. With this initiative we seek to increase the level of satisfaction and comfort of the passengers.”

Here to serve: Lima Airport Shopping assistants are fluent in languages including Spanish, English and Portuguese.

Lima Airport Partners, through its commercial brand Lima Airport Shopping and with its commercial partners, has been implementing a series of marketing initiatives aimed at travellers passing through Jorge Chávez.

This includes the campaign ‘Your purchases take you to a BMW’, which gives anyone who makes a minimum purchase in participating stores the chance to win a BMW 2 Series Coupé, or US$37,500 in cash for non-Peruvian residents or citizens.
