Regional distributor Duty Free Dynamics (DFD) has added leading lighter and lifestyle brand Zippo to its portfolio.

The partners said the new alliance combines Zippo’s loyal fan base with DFD’s distribution network to offer an opportunity to further develop the brand in travel retail.

Zippo Manufacturing Company was founded by American inventor George G. Blaisdell in 1932. He produced the first Zippo ‘windproof’ lighter a year later and went on to establish a brand that is known for its all-American authenticity.

Zippo emphasises customer service and life-long guarantees and its determination to reignite customer loyalty through innovative launches of high-quality, classic lighters.

Collectors and fans have played a vital role in the company’s rich history. Their dedication, according to Zippo, has made the brand “one of America’s greatest and most recognisable icons”.

The Zippo product line-up also includes hand warmers, accessories and reading glasses.
