Lynn Crawford: The leading Canadian chef adds to a powerful speaker line-up for FAB 2017

CANADA. The Moodie Davitt Report is delighted to announce that acclaimed Canadian chef Lynn Crawford will headline a stellar speaker line-up at this year’s Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference and Awards. The event takes place in Toronto on 21-23 June.

The latest FAB Agenda is available at our dedicated FAB website, which also features registration and hotel booking details. Delegates are reminded that just over two weeks remain before the ‘early bird’ registration deadline on 21 April.

A major highlight of the event will be an audience with Chef Crawford, in which she will discuss her career, vision and culinary values. She will also assess the latest trends in travel and food, and the specific challenges of the airport market.

A Food Network celebrity chef and celebrated cookbook author, Chef Crawford has over 25 years of culinary experience. She is the Chef-Owner of Ruby Watchco, a leading restaurant in Toronto’s East End, which has garnered critical acclaim as one of the best in the country. In April 2015 she opened her restaurant The Hearth (in partnership with HMSHost) at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Chef Crawford was formerly Executive Chef at the Four Seasons Hotel in both Toronto and New York.

She has starred in the popular Food Network Show, Pitchin’ In, as she visited farmers, growers, and fishermen across North America in search of the freshest and best ingredients. The show spawned Chef Crawford’s first best-selling cookbook (2012) Pitchin’ In: More Than 100 Great Recipes from Simple Ingredients. Her second best-selling cookbook, At Home with Lynn Crawford, was released in September 2013.

Chef Crawford has made regular television appearances on programmes such as Iron Chef America, Top Chef Masters Season Five, Restaurant Makeover, Top Chef Canada and she is currently a resident judge on Chopped Canada. Her TV show The Great Canadian Cookbook, a four-part series, aired in November 2015.

Her new cookbook, Farm to Chef, will be released in September. It celebrates the bounty of the seasons with over 140 recipes featuring farm-fresh produce.

In other FAB 2017 news, host Toronto Pearson International will arrange an airport tour on the afternoon of Wednesday 21 June, as well as a social afternoon for delegates who stay on during the afternoon of 23 June, post-event. We’ll bring you more details of these events shortly.
