Larios Noches De Jazmin set for launch as a Dufry exclusive in Spain

Spanish gin brand Larios today announced the launch of its Noches De Jazmin expression as a global travel retail exclusive. The limited edition will be available from 1 June, only at Dufry’s airport stores across Spain, including at Alicante, Malaga, Barcelona and Madrid airports.

Beam Suntory Global Travel Retail Brand Marketing Director Manuel Gonzalez said: “This represents the next iteration of the successful flavour line extensions from Larios, following Provenzal in 2019, in this case fully co-created with our colleagues at Dufry. I can’t wait to see this new launch in action during the next few months in airports across Spain.”

Dufry Global Head of Liquor David de Miguel said: “We are always looking to offer our customers something truly unique and it’s fantastic that we can now exclusively introduce them to the limited-edition Larios Noches De Jazmin. We know our local passengers will love how the fusion of jasmine petals and white grapes reminds them of the Mediterranean gardens. Dufry has had an excellent relationship with Beam Suntory for many years and we will continue to work together to navigate the pandemic and bounce back when normality resumes.”

Larios and Dufry go into marketing overdrive as they prepare to launch the latest expression from the 150-year-old gin company into travel retail

The new gin is inspired by the fragrance of jasmine, which Larios said encapsulates “the floral aromas of Mediterranean gardens, fused with the fruity flavour of white grapes”.

Unlike other gins which use fermented grains, Larios is produced from corn, which the company said gives the liquid a smoother profile. It also only uses the ‘heart’ of the distilled liquid to ensure a clearer drink with a sweet aftertaste of white grapes with floral undertones.

Larios volumes climbed by more than +27% in 2019. The brand has the largest share of the gin market in Spanish duty free (IWSR 2019).
