Largest Diageo exclusive store in the Americas launches at Attenza Duty Free in Ecuador

ECUADOR. Diageo Global Travel has partnered with Motta Internacional to open the largest Diageo exclusive store in the Americas.

It is located in Motta’s Attenza Duty Free store in the International Departures concourse of New Quito International Airport in Ecuador.

The 387sq ft store is the first store of its kind for Motta. It contains personalised branded wall bays featuring regional bestsellers Johnnie Walker, Buchanan’s, Old Parr and Zacapa.

“As the largest Diageo exclusive store in the Americas region, the opening of this store in Motta Internacional is a shining example of the strength of our commitment to personalisation and transformation of the shopper experience in travel retail,” said Diageo Global Travel Americas Commercial Director Marcos Bibas. “The creation of such a unique proposition is testament to the strong and successful partnership we have developed with Motta Internacional.

“As partners for many years, we have together [seen double-digit growth in] the category and have increased the permanent spaces for the liquor categories in airports. Highlights of the store include a ‘Single Malts Club’ and ‘Experience Fine Drinking’ area that features Diageo malts, white spirits and liqueurs such as Baileys. The store also houses Diageo’s latest travel exclusives including Johnnie Walker Island Green and Baileys XC.

The store was officially unveiled on 26 October and is open 24 hours a day.
