Aelia exclusive: Laphroaig Double Cask 20yo

FRANCE. Beam Global Spirits & Wine is to launch a new limited-edition version of its Laphroaig Islay single malt whisky with Aelia.

Laphroaig Double Cask 20yo will be available exclusively through the French travel retailer in a partnership with Beam’s European travel retail distributor, Maxxium Travel Retail.

Launching in May, 750 bottles will be distributed at Aelia’s Buy Paris Duty Free shop in Paris, retailing at €225.

“Laphroaig Double Cask 20yo is matured for 18 years in hogshead barrels and then in quarter casks for the last two years, giving it a sweeter, richer style which retains the traditional peat smoke tang,” said Beam Global Spirits & Wine.

“Laphroaig Double Cask 20yo is particularly unique to Aelia as it was personally selected by the company’s Marketing and Purchasing Manager, Philippe Lanusse, during a visit to the Laphroaig distillery. Each bottle of the special edition single malt will be individually numbered and signed by Laphroaig distillery Manager John Campbell, making it a truly collectible edition.”
