Lagardère Travel Retail wins five speciality concessions at Gold Coast Airport

AUSTRALIA. Lagardère Travel Retail has been awarded five Travel Essentials concessions at Gold Coast Airport in Queensland following what the airport operator and retailer described in a joint press release as “a very competitive tender process”.

All five concessions have been awarded for five-year terms. The contracts exclude the separate duty free concession [held by Lagardère Travel Retail’s Aelia Duty Free], which remains in place through to late 2018.  The airport is undergoing a major redevelopment, dubbed ‘Project LIFT, now expected to be completed in 2019.

Under the newly awarded concessions, Lagardère will operate the News, Convenience and Souvenir sites for five years from the beginning of this month.
