Lagardère Travel Retail strikes fashion & accessories deal at Vienna Airport

Frédéric Chevalier: “Fashion is a very important category for us and key strategic asset for Lagardère Travel Retail.”

AUSTRIA. Lagardère Travel Retail has struck a deal to run an 800sq m multi-brand fashion store at Vienna Airport T2. It will be branded under the retailer’s Fashion Gallery brand.

The move is part of a major reconstruction project that will create 10,000sq m of retail space. Lagardère Travel Retail space is centrally located in the new airside Plaza area, just after security control. It will benefit from 100% of the airport’s footfall.

With an opening in Summer 2019, the store will house several shop-in-shops and areas dedicated to fashion accessories, sunglasses and watches.

“The priority for us is to enhance service quality and the shopping experience for our passengers. The new Lagardère store enables us to create an even more attractive shopping environment in the shopping plaza located in Terminal 2,” said Vienna Airport Member of the Management Board Julian Jäger.

Lagardère Travel Retail Chief Operating Officer EMEA Frédéric Chevalier said: “Fashion is a very important category for us and key strategic asset for Lagardère Travel Retail. The opening of another Fashion Gallery proves that our concept has become a brand in itself, highly appreciated by landlords as well as brands. The launch of our fashion activities in Austria will strengthen our relationship with Vienna Airport and accelerate our development in Austria.”
