Lagardère Travel Retail reveals senior management changes

FRANCE. Lagardère Travel Retail has revealed changes to its senior management and Executive Committee structure.

Ambroise Fondeur, previously CEO of Lagardère Travel Retail Duty Free Global, is appointed Chief Business Officer of the company.

He takes the role of Frédéric Chevalier, who is appointed Regional Chief Operating Officer in charge of EMEA operations (except France, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates).

Vincent Romet is named Chief Executive Officer France, in charge of Travel Essentials, Duty Free & Fashion and Foodservice operations. He will take over the responsibilities of Michel Perol who plans to retire. In addition, Romet becomes Regional Chief Operating Officer for the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Jean-Baptiste Morin, who oversees North American Travel Retail as Regional Chief Operating Officer, is appointed Chief Talent & Organization Officer. As well as being responsible for the information systems of the group, he will soon be assisted by an EVP HR & Communication, who is currently being recruited.

Chief Financial Officer Luc Mansion and Regional Chief Officer ASPAC Emmanuel de Place keep their current roles and responsibilities.

Frédéric Renault becomes Special Advisor to the General Management of the Group.

Chairman & CEO Dag Rasmussen has also announced the creation of a Management Board, a governance structure that will work on strategic issues, innovation and transformation. It is aimed at delivering “more operational and international inputs” to the Executive Committee.

The Management Board, which will meet six to eight times a year, will gather the COMEX members, the CEO of Duty Free Global, the Executive Vice Presidents Food & Human Resources, and the CEOs of Paradies Lagardère Travel Retail and of Lagardère Travel Retail Italy.
