Lagardère Travel Retail opens new concepts and extends Relay partnership with Christchurch Airport

NEW ZEALAND. Lagardère Travel Retail has extended its partnership with Christchurch Airport through the contract renewal of three Relay stores, and the addition of two other concepts, tech2go and Sunglass Hut.

Christchurch Airport is the major gateway to New Zealand’s South Island.

The Relay stores operate in the domestic and international terminals. Relay offers a range of “travel essentials”, including books, news, confectionery and travel accessories, as well as Lotto and NZ Postal. All stores will be refurbished over the next year.

Lagardère Travel Retail CEO, Pacific Region Matthieu Mercier said the partnership with Christchurch Airport has been extremely successful since 2011.

The 40sq m tech2go store, the concept’s second stand-alone shop in New Zealand, offers a range of technology items and accessories. Popular names include Sennheiser, Audio Technica, Philips, Plantronics and Cygnett.
