Lagardère Travel Retail introduces tech2go concept to Germany at Hamburg Airport

GERMANY. Lagardère Travel Retail Germany has expanded its retail offering with the opening of its first tech2go concept store in the country at Hamburg Airport.

The 30sq m tech-accessories concept, developed by Lagardère Travel Retail, opened on 12 April.

“From headphones, socket adaptors and fashionable protective covers to charging devices and adapters, tech2go offers the right technology accessories and gadgets for smartphones and tablets,” said Lagardère Travel Retail Chief Marketing Officer Germany, Austria and Slovenia Oliver Hempel.

“[It is] the perfect fit for any traveller who would like to optimise their electronics on the journey and at home.

“Our customers can [access a full range of electronics], individually advised by our competent sales team. Additionally we offer the possibility to test selected products such as headphones or loudspeakers on site to [allow travellers] to make the right choice for [their] specific needs.”

The new tech2go store further enhances the retail mix at Hamburg Airport, says Area Director Centre Management Lutz Deubel

With Germany, Lagardère has introduced the tech2go concept to four countries. The store’s minimal, futuristic look is designed to attract attention. The combination of materials such as wood, metal and synthetics combined with eye-catching neon blue light accents, present the range in a sophisticated and modern way, according to the retailer. “The feedback from our first customers was very positive,” said Hempel.

Hamburg Airport Area Director Centre Management Lutz Deubel added: “With its wide range of technology accessories, the new tech2go shop has further enhanced the retail mix for the visitors of our airport and has made the offer even more attractive.”
