Lagardère Travel Retail extends footprint at Sydney Airport with Lego and Kaboom stores

AUSTRALIA. Lagardère Travel Retail has extended its presence at Sydney Airport with the opening of Lego and Kaboom concept stores in Terminal 2 (domestic). The stores are located in the recently upgraded Pier B.

The 50sq m Lego store is the first in travel retail in the Pacific region. It offers some exclusive products as well as already popular Lego items.

“Being the first to bring such an iconic brand as Lego to travel retail is an exciting development for Lagardère Travel Retail and it is sure to bring much excitement to the many passengers travelling through Sydney T2,” said Lagardère Travel Retail Pacific region CEO Przemek Lesniak.

A first for Pacific travel retail and for Sydney Airport: the Lego store opens in Terminal 2.

Next to the Lego store is Lagardère Travel Retail’s in-house Kaboom toys outlet. First opened at Sydney Airport in 2004, the shop is relocated to a new 65sq m space in the T2 retail precinct. It houses toys, activity packs, games, books, educational products, apparel and speciality confectionery.

The retailer said: “Kaboom brings the most extensive range of toys to travel retail, all captured through a colourful and dynamic store design.”

Child’s play: Kaboom opens a larger store with an enhanced range of goods in Pier B.

Lagardère Travel Retail runs 17 shops across Sydney Airport T1, T2 and T3, covering travel essentials, duty free & fashion and foodservice (food & beverage).
