La Prairie strikes wellness partnership with Air France at New York JFK

Swiss luxury skincare brand La Prairie has begun a partnership with Air France for the airline’s wellbeing offer at New York John F. Kennedy Airport Terminal 1.

The 30sq m wellness zone at the Air France international lounge has been refurbished according to La Prairie’s signature store design, with the partnership struck by the brand’s Global Travel Retail Division.

When checking in at the Air France lounge reception, travellers can book a skincare treatment in the La Prairie Spa. It houses a quiet seating area, away from the bustle of the airport, while there are two private cabins. One is equipped with a full treatment bed to allow for longer rituals, such as the Art of Indulgence facial treatments, while the other has comfortable chairs suited for shorter treatments. All treatments and applications are performed by La Prairie Beauty Advisors.

Air France said it selected the brand to offer travellers in the lounge “moments of respite from the stress of travel”, adding that it is was in line with the carrier’s goal to “offer travellers a refined experience from the beginning to the end of the journey”.

La Prairie has been investing heavily in new beauty experiences with its travel retail partners recently. Among the highlights is its opening of The Beauty House with The Shilla Duty Free at Changi Airport, as reported.
