La Prairie is looking back at 100 years of Bauhaus and taking measure of how the design school has influenced the brand over the years.
According to La Prairie, it has always taken inspiration from the philosophy of Bauhaus: from the meticulous science behind every formulation to the geometric minimalism of its packaging and store design.
“Through the codes of Bauhaus, La Prairie strives to go beyond the expected,” said the brand.
The Swiss company is paying homage to Bauhaus with a special visual campaign and a pledge of continued support for the contemporary art world.
La Prairie has announced its ongoing commitment to partner with the world’s leading contemporary art fairs, and support visionary artists from all over the world. The brand aims to find inspiration in its shared values with these contemporary art movements; just like it has with the Bauhaus School over the years.
Bauhaus’s Swiss Alumni Plenty of notable Swiss artists joined the Bauhaus School during its heyday. Some of these well-known alumni include artist Paul Klee, expressionist painter Jahaness Itten, architect and industrial designer Max Bill, and photographer and theatre designer Alexander Schawinsky. |
