La Prairie and Dufry partner for ‘Emergence of Life’ installation at Zürich Airport

Emergence of Life: The pop-up is a spectacular full-scale installation celebrating La Prairie’s latest Caviar skincare innovation, the Skin Caviar Liquid Lift

SWITZERLAND. Swiss luxury skincare house La Prairie has partnered with Dufry to unveil a full-scale immersive installation at Zürich Airport.

The ‘Emergence of Life’ pop-up celebrates the newest expression of La Prairie’s Skin Caviar Liquid Lift. It was launched on 4 December and will run until 3 January. It is located in Zürich Airport Airside Centre, Level 1.

The 120sq m pop-up invites travellers to discover the history, science and legacy of La Prairie Skin Caviar Liquid Lift. It also features a private consultation area, where visitors can experience La Prairie’s latest Skin Caviar innovation.

As reported, the new Skin Caviar Liquid Lift features a potent combination of Caviar Premier and Caviar Absolute, two of La Prairie’s latest caviar science milestones.

Both ingredients are combined to create an enhanced lifting and volumising effect on the skin, resulting in a powerful ‘gravity-defying’ serum.

The formula has also been enriched with La Prairie’s Exclusive Cellular Complex which visibly lifts and reenergises the skin. The complex targets essential cells and skin components in order to create a rejuvenated appearance.

The new Skin Caviar Liquid Lift is packaged in an updated version of the brand’s signature cobalt blue dual-pump bottle. The bottle is accented with a sleek silver frame and houses the caviar in two separate chambers. It also features a chrome pump that distributes both caviar formulas evenly.

As reported, La Prairie commissioned French artist Cyril Lancelin to create a piece that would celebrate the launch. Lancelin’s golden sculpture takes inspiration from the spherical silhouette of La Prairie’s caviar beads and is also displayed on Level 1 of Zürich Airport’s Airside Centre.

The striking experiential artwork features an array of metal gold spheres ‘defying gravity’ and appearing to emerge from the floor. According to La Prairie, the piece is a “creative metaphor of time and life,” as it also invites audiences to enter it and experience the piece kinetically.

“The sphere evokes perfection and purity,” said Lancelin. “It is also of course, the form of the globe on which we live. This form transcribes for me a communion between nature and technology.”
