Kreol Retail International Business launches operations at Cochin Airport

INDIA. Kreol Retail International Business (KRIB) has launched its staffing solutions in the duty free at Cochin International Airport.

KRIB, which is part of the UAE-based Kreol Group, aims to provide brand owners with trained staff to support promotions as well as staffing solutions in other airport departments including services, retail and logistics.

Kreol Group CEO Lal Arakulath said: “Our focus will be to provide comprehensive services to airports in India.”

He noted the potential for growth in India, citing reports which indicate that the aviation sector contributes US$72 billion to India’s GDP. He noted that India has 64 airports, generating some 316 million passengers in 2018.

Kreol Group is headquartered in Dubai. Its companies operate in travel retail distribution in the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East and Africa and on the landside distribution of food products, apparel and footwear across the domestic markets of Arabian Gulf countries. One of the group’s companies is Alpha Kreol India, a joint venture with Dufry, which has a management contract with Cochin Duty Free.
