Kiehl’s to pop up at Singapore Changi Airport for Lunar New Year

L’Oréal Travel Retail Asia Pacific and Kiehl’s are celebrating Lunar New Year with a bold and immersive pop-up at Singapore Changi Airport in partnership with The Shilla Duty Free, launching on 23 January.

Kiehl’s has collaborated with illustrator Jonny Wan on a colourful concept featuring a pig named Lucky who travels from New York City to Singapore to celebrate the Year of the Pig.

The Changi pop-up tells the story of Lucky the pig, who travels from New York to Singapore to celebrate Chinese New Year with his loved ones.

The pop-up aims to recreate this special voyage for visitors via eye-catching visuals and interactive elements.

A Merlion statue will greet travellers after they land. A Lunar New Year-themed virtual reality motorcycle and a fortune card machine will also be available, encouraging visitors to immerse themselves in the concept.

Illustrator Jonny Wan is known for a bold, graphic style influenced by Art Deco.

The pop-up offers exclusive limited-edition versions of bestselling Kiehl’s products including Ultra Facial Cream, Calendula Herbal Extract Alcohol-Free Toner and Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado.

The products have been made over with Chinese New Year-themed packaging featuring Jonny Wan’s striking illustrations.

The activation will feature a virtual reality motorcycle so that visitors can join Lucky on his voyage.

Kiehl’s noted its commitment to “improving the community it serves”, explaining that for every purchase at the pop-up it will donate SGD1 to Zero Waste SG.

The Kiehl’s Travel Retail Asia Pacific x Jonny Wan activation will run from 23 January to 28 February.

Kiehl’s has given an arty Chinese New Year makeover to some of its signature products. The limited-edition designs are exclusive to Changi Airport.
