UAE. The Kiehl’s brand has further extended its travel retail presence with the opening of a new boutique in Dubai International Airport Terminal 3. The store, which opened on 26 July, has rapidly established itself as a regional flagship, according to the brand. An official opening ceremony will take place in November.

The Dubai T3 boutique features the signature Kiehl’s elements such as brick walls, customised wood flooring, candelabras and the famous ‘Mr Bones’ skeleton. The store is said to have an ideal location, opposite the main fragrances and cosmetics shop which serves departing and connecting passengers.
In other news, Kiehl’s was named ‘Best Shop of the Month’ for August at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
The award is granted by the airport authority on a monthly basis to recognise retailers who provide excellence in customer service, feature attractive and original merchandising, and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and friendliness. These factors are evaluated on a daily basis through inspections in each point of sale throughout the terminal.
The Kiehl’s team beat off stiff competition from other popular Concourse B stores such as Lacoste, L’Occitane, Salvatore Ferragamo, Swarovski and Ermenegildo Zegna.
Parbel described the achievement as particularly impressive, given the relative newness of the store. The duty paid boutique opened last November, and is only the brand’s second US airport venue.
