Kering Eyewear has made some key leadership changes within the Global Travel Retail division. The appointments seek to enhance the organisation’s agility and flexibility in its operations across the channel.

The Global Travel Retail Team is led by Global Head of Centralized Channels Omar Hagi.

Francesco Todeschini Premuda has been appointed as Head of Global Channels. He reports directly to Hagi with expanded responsibilities covering travel retail. Premuda joined Kering Eyewear in 2015 as Head of International Key Accounts.

He will bring his multi-channel experience to his new role to help Kering Eyewear adapt to evolving consumer expectations, stated the company. He will also work to enhance the company’s omnichannel strategies.

Emanuele Lasagna has been appointed as Head of Global Travel Retail. Lasagna has been a member of the travel retail team since 2018, leading the eyewear company’s businesses in the Americas and EMEA regions.

Lasagna’s expanded responsibilities include the Asia Pacific region. He succeeds Pietro Scognamiglio who has been promoted to Kering Eyewear’s domestic business, becoming Head of North and South Asia. In this new position, Scognamiglio will also retain direct management of Korean travel retail.

Andrea Bianchi has been appointed as Head of Travel Retail Asia Pacific to further strengthen Kering Eyewear’s focus on the region. Bianchi joined Kering Eyewear in 2016 supporting the domestic business in Europe and the Americas, before moving to Hong Kong to join the travel retail team.

“Travel Retail has always been, and will always be, strategic for Kering Eyewear,” commented Hagi. “The last two years proved to be very challenging globally and, particularly for this business, highly impacted by the pandemic and lack of tourists. Nevertheless, we believe that what’s coming next will provide a huge opportunity to invest and innovate.

“This is why we have decided to prepare for the future with a renewed organisation led by Emanuele and under the leadership of Francesco. Allocating a highly talented team to the travel retail business is a testament to our commitment to this channel, our partners, and all our stakeholders.”
