Japanese cosmetics company Kanebo has partnered with The Shilla Duty Free to open a KATE TOKYO counter in arrivals at Hong Kong International Airport Terminal 1.
Kanebo said the counter opening underlines KATE TOKYO’s ambition to establish itself in the global travel retail arena and increase exposure in Asian travel retail.
KATE TOKYO is ranked as the number one make-up brand in Japan in terms of sales volume, said Kanebo. Its products include mascara, lipstick, foundation and eye palettes.
Other Kanebo Cosmetics Inc brands include Kanebo, Lunasol and Impress.
In related news, Kanebo Cosmetics recently appointed Blue Chip Group as its travel retail sales agent. Blue Chip Group Vice President Flora Lee said: “It is a great honour to work together with Kanebo Cosmetics, and we are looking forward to further developing the brand in travel retail.”
Kanebo is exhibiting at this year’s TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition (stand S22, level 1).
