AMERICAS. José Chao, one of the most highly respected and experienced travel retail executives in the Americas, has left his post as Vice President of Bacardi Travel Retail Americas.
In a short statement issued today, Bacardi Travel Retail Division Managing Director Andrew Carter said: “José Chao is no longer with the Bacardi Global Travel Retail Division. A successor will be announced in due course.”
Chao has been a hugely influential figure in the growth of the Bacardi brand in the channel for many years, and a constant champion of innovation and partnership in the liquor business.
The Moodie Report understands that Chao intends to remain active in the duty free channel. We’ll bring you more news soon.
