USA. American Express’s largest Centurion Lounge is set to open at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport.

American Express said The Centurion Lounge will feature a complimentary custom bar and food menu, premium restrooms and shower suites, access to high-speed Wi-Fi, noise-buffering workspaces, and more.

Additional features specific to the T4 lounge will be announced closer to opening, it said.

Platinum Card and Centurion members will have complimentary and exclusive access to the lounge. Platinum Card members may enter with up to two travel companions at no additional charge, while Centurion members may enter with their immediate family or up to two travel companions. Platinum Card or Centurion members may purchase access to the lounge for additional guests for US$50 each.

American Express Vice President and General Manager, Global Benefits and Services Josh McKay said John F. Kennedy International was one of the top airports its Platinum Card members travel through each year. “We aim to elevate our card members’ travel experiences and our industry-leading lounge programme is one of our card members’ favourite ways we do this. We look forward to continuing to expand this offering with JFK and more lounges to come.”

Airport company JFKIAT’s President and CEO Gert-Jan de Graaff commented: “Terminal 4 strives to provide passengers with a superior travel experience, and this lounge is a welcome addition to our existing mix of premium terminal amenities. We are excited to soon be able to offer passengers yet another service to take advantage of before departure or during a layover.”

One of six active terminals at JFK Airport, T4 welcomes more than 21 million annual passengers and accounts for one-third of all traffic at the airport.
