EarPro creates a ‘waterproof’ coating to protect against Swimmer’s Ear

JES Travel Retail has partnered with LiquidPro to launch medical ear brand EarPro into global travel retail.

The brand aims to address the issue of swimmer’s ear or ‘otitis externa’, which in 2018 accounted for 2.4 million healthcare visits in the US according to the Centres for Disease Control.

The symptoms of swimmer’s ear include itching, redness, and discomfort. In more progressive cases, it can lead to severe pain in the face and neck, redness and swelling of the outer ear and lymph nodes, as well as complete blockage of the ear canal.

Without treatment, swimmer’s ear can result in long-term complications such as hearing loss, infection, and bone and cartilage damage.

EarPro offers a preventative solution to swimmer’s ear and acts as a ‘waterproof’ coating for the ear canal. This prevents any contaminants or microorganisms in the water from entering and damaging the ear.
