USA. Jersey Mike’s Subs has raised over US$6 million to support more than 170 charities across the USA.
The 8th annual Month of Giving, which encouraged customers to ‘eat a sub’ and support local charities, ended on 28 March, with 1,360 Jersey Mike outlets donating 100% of sales, not just profits, to the campaign. Designated charities included schools, hospitals, youth organisations and food banks.
Jersey Mike’s Subs Founder and CEO Peter Cancro said: “I would like to thank our extraordinary customers, franchise owners, team members and charity partners who helped us raise the most ever during Jersey Mike’s 8th Annual Month of Giving in March.
“Our mission statement has always been focused on making a difference in people’s lives, and the over US$6 million raised this March will go a long way toward supporting the good work of our local partner charities.”
Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised more than US$28 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 2 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
