Jean Paul Gaultier extends Scandal line with new fragrance

Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal by Night Eau de Parfum EDP
Scandal by Night, the first extension to Jean Paul Gaultier’s Scandal range, features the same striking bottle design as its parent scent, updated in a darker pink. Its tin can holder is coated with pink velvet.

Puig has made its first addition to the Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal range of fragrances. The Scandal By Night EDP is the latest addition to the brand’s travel retail portfolio.

The new reference, in stores this month, will also be showcased at TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Riviera Village, RE19) in October.

Available in 50ml and 80ml sizes, Scandal By Night is a new spin on 2017 launch Scandal, this time an evening scent.

The new fragrance pays tribute to Paris’s famous Pigalle nightlife, said the brand. The campaign – first seen with Scandal last year – follows the character of Madam La Ministre, a high-ranking official by day and a party woman after hours.

The scent retains many of Scandal’s signatures, including a strong honey note, but has been transformed into an evening scent with the addition of ingredients including tuberose and tonka bean.

The bottle follows the same design but features a deeper pink colour, gradating into purple. As with Scandal, the Scandal By Night bottle comes in a velvet-coated version of the brand’s signature tin can holder.

Social media interaction continues to be encouraged with the use of the branded hashtag #BeScandal .
